Tagore) की सूक्ति कविताओं की पुस्तक स्ट्रे-बर्ड्स (Stray Birds) का हिन्दी अनुवाद मेरे ढूँढ़ने पर भी मुझे नहीं मिला, यद्यपि गुरुदेव की अन्य कई रचनाओं के हिन्दी अनुवाद पर्याप्त रूप से उपलब्ध हैं। गीतांजलि का  काव्यानुवाद सच्चा शरणम् पर प्रकाशित है। यहाँ प्रस्तुत है स्ट्रे बर्ड्स का हिन्दी काव्यानुवाद।

1. The mystery of creation is like the darkness of night, it is great. Delusion (misleading) of knowledge are like the fog of the morning. (1)
2. What you are you don’t see. What you see is your shadow. (2)
3. That I exist is a perpetual surprises which is life. (3)
4. Rest belongs to the work as the eyelids to the eye. (4)
5. O, Beauty, find thyself in love, not in the flattery of the mirror. (5)
6. Do not blame your food because you have no appetite. (6)
7. God finds himself by creating. (7)
8. Life is given to u, we earn it by giving it. (8)
9. God says to man, “ I heal you therefore I hurt, love you therefore punish.” (9)
10. Thank the flame for light, but don’t forget the lamp holder standing in the shade with constancy of patience. (10)

Hindi Translation of Stray Birds

1. सृष्टि रहस्य परम गरिमामय ज्यों निशि का अंधेरा। अरुणोदयकालीन कुहासा सदृश ज्ञान-भ्रम तेरा॥
2. तुम हो कौन नहीं यह तेरे लोचन पथ में आया। जो तुमको दर्शित होता है वह है तेरी छाया॥
3. यही कि मैं स्थित हूँ यह अविरत है आश्चर्य कहानी। ‘जीवन’ संज्ञा इसको ही देती आयी है वाणी॥
4. वैसे ही विश्राम काम का होता सदा संघाती। जैसे नयनों की पलकें नयनों का संग निभातीं। 
5. प्रेमालय में पैठ स्वयं को खोज वहीं सुघराई। न कि चापलूसी दर्पण की दे जिस ठौर बधाई॥
6. किंचित दोष न दो उस भोजन को जो थाल परोसी। सच में तेरी क्षुधा न जागी क्षुधा तुम्हारी दोषी॥
7. रचना करके ही अपने को परमेश्वर पा लेता। संसृति रचना सर्व सर्वगत सर्व सदगुणोपेता॥
8. प्राप्त कराई गयी हमें है पूँजी जीवनधन की। जीवन का कर दान कमाई करते हम जीवन की॥
9. प्रभु कहते नर से हम पीड़ा हर तो देते पीड़ा। तुमसे प्रेम इसी से तेरे साथ दंड की क्रीड़ा॥
10. धन्यवाद दो लौ को जिसकी द्युति में फिरते फूले। पर ओटस्थित धैर्यधनी वह दीपकधर मत भूले॥

1. God grows weary of great kingdoms, but never of little flowers. (11)
2. The mist like love plays upon the heart of the hills and brings out surprise of beauty. (12)
3. We read the world wrong and say that it deceives. (13)
4. Man barricades against himself. (14)
5. He who wants to do good knocks at the gate, he who loves finds the gate open. (15)
6. The artist is the lover of the Nature, therefore he is his slave and master. (16)
7. In the darkness the one appears as uniform, in the light the one appear as manifold. (17)
8. The great earth makes herself hospitable with the help of the grass. (18)
9. The sadness of my soul is her bride’s Veil. It waits to be lifted in the night. (19)
10. Roots are the branches down in the earth. Branches are roots in the air. (20)

Hindi Translation of Stray Birds

1. राजधानियों से विशाल प्रभु परेशान हो जाता। लघु सुमनों से किन्तु कभीं ऊबता न सृष्टि-विधाता॥
2. धुंध प्रेम सम है पहाड़ियों के उर पर इठलाता। वह अद्भुत सुन्दरता का आश्चर्य सृजित कर जाता॥
3. हम ऐसे हैं इस जग की करते हैं गलत पढ़ाई। और यही कहते फ़िरते करता है जगत ठगाई॥
4. नर भी कैसी चीज, कौन सी उसकी कहें बुलंदी। वह अपने विरुद्ध ही विरचित करता घेराबन्दी॥
5. शुभ करने की इच्छा वाला तो पट है खटकाता। किन्तु प्रेम करने वाले को द्वार खुला मिला जाता॥
6. कलाकार वह प्राणी है जो प्रकृत प्रेम पथगामी। इसीलिए तो वह है उसका अनुचर उसका स्वामी॥
7. एकाकार प्रकट होता है अंधकार में कोई। कोई विविधाकार ज्योति में एकरूपता खोई॥
8. शिरोधार्य कर निज दूर्वादल की सहायता न्यारी। अति आतिथ्यकारिणी बनती है वसुन्धरा प्यारी॥
9. उसके दुल्हन के घूँघट सी मेरी आत्म उदासी। निशि में घूँघट हटे प्रतीक्षा में हैं आँखें प्यासी॥
10. जड़ें धरणि में धँसी हुई हैं अधोगता शाखायें। शाखायें जड़ हैं जो ऊपर पवन बीच लहरायें॥
